Sony PS4

Quite a bunch of E3 news leak lately, some more just came in, this time from Sony. An FCC report just reveals that there will be two new versions coming up for PS4 and one of them is its first to come stock with a 1TB hard drive inside, twice the size of the current one. PlayStation gamers have already been able to crack the system open and swap in a larger/faster storage unit, but if you’d prefer to skip the hassle the option of having one from the jump will be nice, and current games fill up a 500GB unit all too quickly.

This is a good opportunity for gamers to store up quite bunch of media in their PS4 which they always wanted to and swapped to a larger HDD since that is something reasonably easy to perform. A larger HDD isn’t just the only thing which all new PS4 models will be offering, there’s more on the table. The new models, including a new 500GB unit, are also lighter than the current models and use less power. That means revised hardware inside. One thing that is of concern is that the lighter weight may mean that the new versions lack a Blu-ray player. The new console model numbers are CUH-1215A for the 500GB version and CUH-1215B for the 1TB unit. They are expected to go official on June 15 at the E3 event. I will keep you guys posted for further details on Playstation and Sony.
