It’s been almost a year since Nokia partnered with Microsoft and received diverse critics directly from users, analysts and tech pundits. Different school of thoughts have got extremely different point of view which is why some are quite optimistic about these two giants’ future while others are hopeless. Many analysts also believe that this is supposedly the last chance for Nokia to stand in the market.
Being active users of Windows Phone platform since 2011, we have encountered many basic issues/problems in this platform – true multitasking, lack of smart APIs for developers, no VoIP to name a few along with the many more.
No doubt, if you follow the standards, you get the boom, if you move yourself away from the standards, users may not like you.
In June, 2012, Microsoft’s organized a Developer Summit for Windows Phone in which it revealed some of the major details and changes which are the base of Windows Phone 8 platform and since then, hundreds of rumors are coming up as what features will it be having in the final release whereas, Microsoft has been very strict in revealing the details of this new OS to the OEMs even. Similarly, on the other hand, Nokia fan boys are also coming up with several details of upcoming devices such as the name, camera, USB and other hardware details.
We have compiled several rumors which are highly likely to occur in this event. Let’s have a look at them.
Devices
In the start of August when Nokia and Microsoft announced the 5th September event there were some news of Nokia Phi and Nokia Arrow launch but now, as the event is getting closer day by day, rumors have changed devices’ names to Lumia 820 and 920 phones. We are also hopeful that this event will reveal the new Lumia series based upon the tweet that Nokia’s official did when Samsung released its
Note 2 in IFA.
Samsung take note, next generation Lumia coming soon.
